When asked about Brooke Paulson, one of Ignite Christian Academy's language arts teachers said, "Her messages are always full of sunshine."
This month, Brooke will start her freshman year at Ignite Christian Academy® (ICA). A resident of Cartwright, North Dakota, Brooke is involved in speech and drama at her local school, and she is a dedicated violinist. This past year, Brooke impressed her friends and family by qualifying for state with her oral interpretation piece in speech. She also tied for fifth place at the state spelling bee.
Although Brooke is a dedicated scholar, speaker, and musician, she still finds time for book clubs, swimming lessons, theatre camps, and Bible camps. In addition, she is loved and admired by her five younger sisters for her faith, motivation, and hard work.
"She sets a great example for her sisters to follow," said Shelly Paulson, Brooke's mother. "Brooke's faith in God helps her see the importance of doing her best in school. It motivates her to keep trying in school and not give up when the work is difficult."
Shelly also said enrolling Brooke at Ignite Christian Academy was an easy educational decision because of her previous experience with ICA's computer-based Switched-On Schoolhouse® (SOS) curriculum.
"ICA was an easy choice for us when it came time to look for an online school," Shelly said. "Brooke had used the SOS program for a year already and was very pleased with it."
After graduation, Brooke plans to go to college to prepare for a career in journalism or another job that involves writing.
Ignite Christian Academy is proud to have Brooke Paulson as a student, and we are honored to name her ICA's August Student of the Month! Keep up the great work, Brooke!
