Rebekah Almendares is the elementary student of the month for Ignite Christian Academy! Rebekah is a first-year student with us, and is already very active, recently winning 2nd place in our 4—6th grade spelling bee! Rebeka’s parents have always wanted the best learning for her and her family, and when they learned about ICA, they knew it was the right decision.
Emerson Archer is Ignite Christian Academy’s high school student of the month for December. Emerson is in her third year with ICA and came here after having friends from church who were enrolled here. Her parents wanted her to have access to a biblical, yet rigorous, high school experience, along with accountability for her own work, and teacher support. Emerson says her favorite part of online learning is definitely the ability to set her own pace. She can get extra lessons done if a certain assignment takes her less than expected and this way, she can also get ahead on a subject, which is super helpful when she doesn’t have as much time on some days and can simply take off of that subject.
Our elementary student of the month at Ignite Christian Academy is our fifth-grade student, Temperince Torrance. Temperince has been with ICA since January 2023 and came to us after her mom completed research about online schools. She called ICA and quickly enrolled here! Temperince said “My favorite part of online learning is connecting with classmates during club meetings. I also enjoy seeing my teachers in Zoom meetings and receiving their help.”
Our high school student of the month for Ignite Christian Academy is 12th grade student, Ryanne Hennessy. Ryanne began using our LifePac curriculum and transitioned into our online academy to continue using our curriculum. Ryanne has now been online with ICA for six years now. Her favorite part of online learning is being able to work at her own pace. She can get ahead and either take a few days off or just finish school early.
Ignite Christian Academy is proud to celebrate high school student, Amelia Lancaster, and her ability to pursue her rodeo extracurriculars while also excelling in her academics.
The elementary student of the month of May at Ignite Christian Academy is Jeshurun E’Zion. Jeshurun is a sixth-grade student here, who has been with the academy for 3 years after his beloved parents prayerfully searched online for an accredited Christian school to enroll him and his brother during the Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020. Their former Christian schools shut down due to health and safety reasons. Since then, they have been Homeschooling because ICA has become the best for them in all aspects- and we love having them here!
The high school student of the month for May, is graduating senior, William Davidson. In his three years here at ICA, David has been incredibly active, making a significant impact on his peers and the faculty. David is active in the student center, clubs, and classes, and most notably, is a prominent staple in our monthly chapel, Ignite Worship.
Our Ignite Christian Academy elementary student of the month is fifth grader, Jingling Qiu. Jingling has been at the academy for almost a year and a half, and also has a sister that attends ICA! The Christian values and biblical integration were what attracted their family to ICA, and we are happy to have them here!
The Ignite Christian Academy high school student of the month for April is 10th grader Yohan Lee. Yohan has been at ICA for nine months, and he likes the flexibility in time and location that ICA offers. Since he can expect what he will need to finish tomorrow, next week, and even next month, he can plan and work at his own pace according to his family’s schedule. Yohan’s family chose ICA when they were making the decision to move internationally to be a part of the Japanese missionary field. God led them to search for an online homeschooling program and prayerfully they chose ICA.
The elementary student of the month at Ignite Christian Academy is second grader Kyden Kettler who has been with ICA since kindergarten. His family likes the support he gets from his teachers when he needs them, and he was surprised by the number of times he can have meetings with his teachers. His parents learned about ICA from Kyden’s cousin, Kyle, who is a recent graduate of the academy, and they like that ICA is an accredited school.
