August's student of the month, Anna Piper, hails from Georgia. Although she recently completed her freshman year and is ready to jump into her sophomore year in just a couple of weeks, Anna was able to find some time in her busy schedule to give us an idea of who she is and what she enjoys doing.
Ignite Christian Academy: Describe yourself as a person.
Anna Piper: I'm very laid back, relaxed, trustworthy, and I'm not very outdoorsy.
ICA: What grade will you be in and what courses will you take?
Anna: I will be in 10th grade this coming school year. I will be taking English, biology, U.S. history, geometry, and Spanish II.
ICA: How long have you been enrolled with
ICA?
Anna: I have been enrolled with ICA since 4th grade, which would be about 6 years.
ICA: What aspect of ICA do you enjoy the most?
Anna: The aspect I enjoy most about ICA is the flexibility of my schedule.
ICA: Describe your hobbies or interests.
Anna: I really enjoy playing piano, hanging out with friends, watching movies, reading books, and eating.
ICA: What are some of your favorite things?
Anna: Pride and Prejudice and The Hunger Games are two of my favorite movies. Also, my favorite sport is soccer.
ICA: Are you a member of any organizations or church groups?
Anna: I am a member of Believers Baptist Church in Griffin, GA.
ICA: If you could use three words to describe yourself what would they be? Why is that?
Anna: I'm a very laid back, trustworthy, and diligent person. I'm laid back because I always just go with the flow and try not to worry about little things. I'm trustworthy because my friends can always come to me anytime and know that they can trust me to tell me things. I'm diligent because when I get a task I do not stop until it is done.
ICA: What are your future plans or dreams?
Anna: My future plan is to graduate high school and college and to have a successful career. A dream of mine is to travel all around the world one day.
ICA: Who is the most significant role model in your life? Why?
Anna: One of the most significant role models in my life is my dad. He has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to no matter how hard I think it is and to never give up.
ICA: After what motto do you model your life?
Anna: The motto I model my life after is, "Learn from yesterday; live for today; hope for tomorrow."
ICA: What is your most treasured possession?
Anna: My most treasured possessions as a child were my stuffed otter and dog.
ICA: Is there anything you have always wanted to do but haven't done yet?
Anna: Something that I've always wanted to do is to travel to London, England.
ICA: How do you want to be remembered when people look back on your life?
Anna: I want people to remember me as a godly, loving, caring, kind, generous, determined, and successful person.
ICA: Of what accomplishment in life are you most proud?
Anna: I feel that there is not one single major accomplishment that I've completed yet. However I would love to one day have a successful career, complete high school and college, travel all over the world, and have a family.
