The high school student of the month for Ignite Christian Academy is ninth grade student, Austin M. Austin is relatively new to ICA, beginning his coursework with us in August 2023. He was switching to an online school to accommodate his passion for skiing and liked that ICA had a strong Christian foundation.
Austin’s science teacher, Mrs. Yelton, said “This is Austin’s first year at ICA, but he does a great job of working through the work and then scheduling conferences and using help notes to ask great questions and understand the content. He is also juggling school and competitive skiing. He often comes into early morning conferences despite being really early in Colorado where he lives. He is always kind and respectful as well as able to articulate questions he has about the content.
