The November 2022 elementary student of the month at Ignite Christian Academy is fourth grader Kyle Fung. Kyle lives in New Jersey and appreciates that they have all four seasons and many great parks to visit and go on nature walks. Kyle is active in clubs and classes here at ICA and recently competed in one of the school’s spelling bees.
Kyle’s teacher, Mrs. Ramesh, nominated Kyle as the student of the month, stating, “Kyle is very committed to learning and always does an excellent job in writing his answers and providing details. He really does put in effort and time in completing his projects and does it neatly. Whenever he needs help, he does not hesitate to book appointments with me and shows up for the meetings on time. He also informs me about his vacation plans and catches up with his work, and stays aligned with the suggested pacing. He also works with Imagine Learning supplemental resources in Math and Reading. He is truly an exceptional student, and I think we need to encourage such students!”
My ICA Story
This is my second year at Ignite Christian Academy. My parents found ICA when they were searching for an online school in the beginning of the pandemic. My parents and I felt that ICA was best for me because of the Christian teaching.
Why I Love ICA
My favorite part of online learning is that I can go at my own pace.
It also gives my family the freedom to visit museums and go sightseeing. All of the teachers at ICA are friendly and helpful when I have questions on any of my lessons.
My Favorite Subject
My favorite subject is math. I really like math because I like finding new ways to solve difficult math equations.
My Hobbies
I enjoy spending my free time coding. I like designing video games with coding. I have been playing piano for six years. I play the piano at several recitals throughout the year.
My Dream Job
If I could choose any job in the world, I would be an inventor. Some of the money that I get from my inventions, I would give to charity.
My Words of Wisdom
My advice to my classmates is, “If you try your best, good things will happen.”
