Meet Reggie Hills, a senior who is graduating a year early, thanks to his hard work. Read more about Reggie to find out what his future holds!
My ICA Story
I am a graduating senior at Ignite Christian Academy, and chose to attend the online school because the curriculum was something that I was familiar with. My goal was to graduate a year early. I knew that if I wanted to reach that goal I had to stay focused. Achieving my graduation goal this year is something I'm very proud of.
A Few of My Favorite Things about
Distance Learning
My favorite subject is math. I like it because I'm good with numbers and it comes easy to me. My favorite part of distance learning is that you can work at your own pace. If you're a slow learner you don't have to rush yourself, and if you're a fast learner you don't have to wait for people. Another thing I enjoy about ICA is how willing the teachers are to help me out.
Free Time and Future Dreams
I am an only child from Bowie, Maryland. During my free time I like to do yoga and pilates, workout, play video games, and watch football. I also like to play football, and hope to play professionally
someday. My future plan is to take football as far as I can and do whatever God has planned for me. In addition to playing football, I would also like to be a pastor/preacher someday. Those two things are what I have wanted to do since the second grade.
Words of Wisdom, for You
If I could give my classmates a bit of advice, it would be not to slack off. Keep something in front of you that will keep you driven every day. Try setting a daily goal and strive to reach it.
This fall, Reggie plans to attend Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, where he plans to study sports management and play football. Drawn to the school's Christian background, Reggie is looking forward to the new challenges college will bring.
