Discover how innovation and technology shape the world of work. This one-semester CTE course introduces middle school students to a variety of technical career fields, ranging from computers to technology.

In this course, students will learn:

  • Career Fields History
  • Modern Innovations
  • Industry Applications
  • Future Career Pathways

Each unit explores one technical field, examining how it developed, how it functions today, and how it may evolve in the future. Students investigate real-world applications, emerging technologies, and the skills needed for success in these industries. By exploring technical career paths in middle school, students can better identify their interests and prepare for advanced career-focused opportunities in high school.
