Explore the structure and functions of the U.S. government. This one-semester course guides students through the study of government, citizenship, and civic responsibility. Students explore the foundations of American democracy and learn of the importance of participation in public life. They will examine the structure and purpose of federal, state, and local governments while discovering the balance between rights and responsibilities in a free society.

Through hands-on projects and thoughtful discussion, students develop the knowledge and character to become informed citizens who contribute positively to their communities and the nation.
