Strengthen your writing, reading, and communication skills through deeper exploration of English language and literature. This full-year course builds on foundational concepts while introducing students to classic literary forms and expressive writing. English II Fundamentals explores the same core units as English II while emphasizing foundational skill development.
In this course, students will learn:

- Critical Analysis
- Expository Writing
- Grammar & Mechanics
Students read the novel In His Steps, by Charles Sheldon, and the 15th-century play Everyman while engaging in creative and analytical writing projects. With a focus on structure, style, and interpretation, this course prepares students for advanced English coursework and confident communication.
