Strengthen advanced reading, writing, and language skills through a comprehensive study of British literature and composition. This full-year course prepares students for college-level expectations by combining grammar review, research, creative writing, and literary analysis.

In this course, students will learn:

  • British Literary Traditions

Students explore the development of the English language while refining composition and editing skills. Literary study spans Medieval works through the Renaissance, 17th–18th century literature, and Romantic and Victorian poetry, including an in-depth study of The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. Through analytical essays, creative writing projects, and research assignments, students build strong communication skills for college and beyond.
