Discover how political systems and public service careers shape our nation. This one-semester course explores the many roles and responsibilities within government and public administration, helping students understand how elected officials, agencies, and institutions work together to serve the public and create policy.

In this course, students will learn:

  • U.S. Government Structure
  • Political Careers & Roles
  • Elections & Public Policy
  • Local, State & Federal Systems

Students examine real-world political structures, explore career paths in public administration, and complete projects that connect civic knowledge to future career opportunities. This course meets ICA’s government graduation requirement, though students are encouraged to also take Government and Economics for deeper study.
