Explore the science behind criminal investigations and discover how evidence is analyzed to solve crimes. This one-semester elective course introduces students to the history, techniques, and career pathways within modern forensic science.

In this course, students will learn:

  • History & DNA Analysis
  • Crime Scene Investigation Roles
  • Forensic Science Specialties
  • Medical & Digital Forensics

Students examine the development of forensic science and the role of DNA analysis in solving cases. They explore careers such as forensic biology, chemistry, toxicology, physical anthropology, computer forensics, forensic engineering, and medical and dental forensics. Through case studies and applied learning, students gain insight into how scientific principles support the justice system and contribute to modern investigations.
