Build a strong foundation in the language of health and medicine. The first of two medical terminology courses, this one-semester elective introduces students to the structure and meaning of medical terms, including word parts, abbreviations, and terminology used across healthcare settings.

  • Pharmaceutical Terms
  • Anatomy & Physiology Terms

Through direct instruction and interactive practice, students develop fluency in medical language to support future study in healthcare or allied health careers. This course equips students to confidently interpret and use terminology essential to the medical field.
