Gain a deeper understanding of the language of healthcare by mastering medical terms related to body systems. This one-semester elective builds on foundational knowledge gained in Medical Terminology I. The knowledge and skills gained in this course will provide students entering the healthcare field with a deeper understanding of the application of the language of health and medicine.
In this course, students will learn:
- Advanced Body System Terms
- Medical Prefixes & Suffixes
- Medical Vocabulary
- Medical Language in Healthcare
Students expand their knowledge of word roots, combining forms, abbreviations, and acronyms while focusing on terminology used across major body systems. Through direct instruction, interactive practice, and applied assignments, learners develop the fluency needed to interpret and use medical language accurately in healthcare settings.
